Incorporated in January 2007 to research and develop vehicle mobility issues and modern-day requirements for improved safety and performance following tyre deflation led to the concept of the CBR runflat insert. Combined Beadlock Runflat (CBR) became the first of a new runflat insert category for the normal single piece wheel. The mission statement was clear; invent a system and method of fitting that would make redundant the necessity for two-piece wheels with a new concept that incorporated beadlock on the single piece wheel, so the lighter and less costly off the-shelf single piece wheel could be used instead, then introduce technological improvements to enhance performance even further beyond current state-of-the-art.
