The US Army is exploring the application of artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance military operations, with a focus on an AI-powered social media tool named Data Robot. This tool is being tested as part of the annual Cyber Quest experiment conducted by the US Army Cyber Center of Excellence at Fort Gordon, Georgia. Data Robot is among 17 technologies that were evaluated during the experiment, which encompasses various fields from electronic warfare to cyber. Major General Paul Stanton, commanding general of the US Army Cyber Center of Excellence, highlighted the distinction between industry-designed technologies and those needed for military use, emphasizing the military's imperative to counter potential threats constantly.
