The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Information Innovation Office (I2O) is organizing a Proposers Day to inform potential proposers about the objectives of the anticipated Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) for the Intelligent Generation of Tools for Security (INGOTS) program. The BAA will be posted on the System for Award Management (SAM) website at https://sam.gov/. The Proposers Day will comprise two sessions, one at the unclassified level and the other at the SECRET level. Attendance is free, but the event is not open to the general public or the media.
The INGOTS program aims to develop innovative approaches, utilizing program analysis and Artificial Intelligence (AI), to assess vulnerabilities in modern and intricate systems. Current cyberattacks employ sophisticated techniques that combine multiple vulnerabilities to bypass security measures and compromise critical devices. The INGOTS program seeks to strengthen platforms against such attacks by identifying and addressing high-severity vulnerabilities that can be exploited in chains before attackers can take advantage of them. INGOTS will introduce a new method of measurement, one that characterizes and assesses the interdependency of vulnerabilities, in order to address the security challenges of the future.
