Following previous orders in 1993, 1999, 2004, 2009 and 2021, France will be ordering 42 Rafales from Dassault aviation to boost the French Air and Space Force.

According to Breaking Defense, a dozen of the aircraft are set to replace those sold to Croatia in 2021.

The new Rafales will bring modernised capabilities in a period of geopolitical unrest across the world, with tensions in the Middle East, Europe and Asia-Pacific.
