The Coventry-based armor manufacturer and vehicle integrator, NP Aerospace, has been granted an extension of their vehicle contract by the Ministry of Defence, worth £63 million. NP Aerospace has been involved in the maintenance, sustainability, and improvement of over 2,000 vehicles belonging to the MoD for over two decades. This contract extension has led to the creation of over 200 job opportunities within the UK supply chain.
Under the Protected Mobility Engineering and Technical Support vehicle contract (PMETS), NP Aerospace has served as the engineering authority for the fleet. They have collaborated with vehicle original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and industry partners on more than 140 tasks. These tasks have varied in size and complexity, encompassing areas such as lighting systems, software enhancements, communication system upgrades, and even comprehensive re-engineering projects.
