Inlet Guide Vane Actuator (IGV)

The Westland Sea King helicopter is fitted with two RR Gnome Engines. Each engine consists of a gas generator and power turbine. In the engine, there are inlet guide vanes and compressor stator blades. The angular settings of these blades are varied automatically by the control system via the IGV Actuator.
