SEMA

RT SYS

SEMA is a programmable, portable and recoverable autonomous underwater vehicle. It is used as a training target to train operators in ASW exercise and torpedo firing exercices. It can be easily deployed from a frigate or RHIB to train the crews of frigates, helicopters, submarines and maritime patrol aircraft. SEMA is easy to deploy from a RHIB manually or from a ship via its launcing ramp. To retrieve the target, only two operators are needed.

SEMA's navigation route is plotted via waypoints or segments. SEMA uses passive and active acoustics for echo repeating and noisemaker functions. Its active repeater features allow 5 sonar response bands and 2 torpedo response bands.

Each noise generator can emit up to 6 narrowband signals and 2 broadband signals. Its high speed (up to 15kts) and its great acoustic capabilities allow it to closely simulate the behavior of a submarine and to trigger the detection from the most modern sensors (torpedo homing head, LFAS, VDS, HDS).
