VALOR Prehospital Space Medicine Care (PSMC)
The VALOR PSMCC medical simulation curriculum contains a variety of immersive scenarios spanning the full spectrum of medical techniques, tactics, and protocols for terrestrial space medicine missions. Simulated scenarios include a variety of settings ranging from pad aborts to land and ocean space vehicle recoveries, and include the most commonly used manned platforms. Clinical content is based on the Prehospital Space Medicine Care curriculum and includes a wide variety of medical emergencies related to space launch and recovery operations, such as hazardous gas exposure, spaceflight-associated neuro-ocular syndrome, traumatic injury, and crew fatalities. Capsule interiors and exteriors and common recovery platforms (including ocean and land platforms) are simulated, as are common environmental control and life support systems.
